Taiwan Day 2-3

Monday morning, we went to have the traditional northern Chinese breakfast (soy milk-sweet or savory, long fried donut thingy, and pancake-like thing). This was another meal that we had been looking forward to. It was yummy, sure made my tummy happy.

In the afternoon, we went and checked out San Min Bookstore. It's a pretty big place. There were five stories, including a pretty cute kid section where we got a couple bilingual books.

My mother hasn't been feeling well the last week or so. On Monday night, we decided she should go to the emergency room. She was there for a couple days waiting until Tuesday afternoon to be transferred to another hospital. They're running tests to find out what's wrong. We're hoping to have her home soon.

Sis and I got a little sick ourselves on Tuesday. I think we ate something bad, had an upset stomach and nausea all day. Yuck! Sis still went and took her shifts looking after mom at the hospital, while I was a total wimp. This knocked me down pretty flat. I was pissed off that there was all this yummy food around me but I couldn't have any. But I guess I should lay low for a couple days so this doesn't get worse.

I'll post some pictures later. Hope everyone back home is doing well.

This is us sitting in front of 7-Eleven to be able to get on the Internet.

This is one of two kitties that live in our building. The other one is black. Both are shy. I got to pet this one.
