We started phase 2 of our trip. We're in China. Sister got shoved by an old Chinese lady at the airport. Yup, we are not in Kansas anymore. We stayed the night in Hangzhou. The program for the day included touring a very well known lake, Xi Hu, where many many poems and stories had written about or refer to. It's beautiful, would have been even better without the TENS OF THOUSANDS of tourists and the competing blare of the tour guides' microphones. We were told that the crowd wasn't that bad since it was a Monday. What!? Madness!! We also toured a tea farm and sampled some very nice green tea. Then we rode for 3+ hours to Huang Shan, where we will be doing some serious hiking tomorrow. After dinner, we walked through a really cute historic old street. It kind of looked like a movie set. Apparently, it's rated 3rd nicest in China. We are not eating quite as well as we were in Taiwan, but that's all right.
Internet access is a bit funky so far in China. I wasn't able to upload pictures or open pages on a browser. Very frustrating. Wonder if it has anything to do with censorship...?
